Longtime New Jersey assemblyman Joe Roberts (D-Camden County) announced on Wednesday afternoon that he’s stepping down at the end of his term this year.

Prior to taking his legislative seat in Trenton in 1987, he had served two terms on the Camden County Board of Freeholders.
