A photo exhibition opens on Thursday night at the Fairmount Water Works that examines Philadelphia area involvement in helping to transform war-torn Rwanda.
When Lily Yeh, founder of Barefoot Artists, first saw the Survivors Village of Rugerero in Rwanda, she was struck by the lack of basic needs and facilities in the village, especially water:
"The whole village has two faucets for 100 families, they often have to line up."
