On Sunday, October 4th, you are invited to a concert to pay tribute to Philadelphia-born singing legend Billie Holiday, and at the same time make sure another Philadelphia jewel continues to shine.
Rev. Rodger Broadley is rector of the Church of St. Luke and The Epiphany, at 330 S. 13th Street in center city:
"We're putting on a new giant roof on this old, old, old Greek Revival building, the largest in the city. When you walk by the front, you see the banner that says, 'After 170 years, who wouldn't need a facelift?' "
Rev. Broadley explains why most of the proceeds from the upcoming concert will go toward the new roof:
