Now that the city's so-called "doomsday" budget has been averted, those who use and/or work in Philadelphia's free libraries are among those breathing a sigh of relief.
All 54 library branches were threatened to be shuttered on October 2nd.
"I feel greatly relieved that all of our libraries will stay open."
That's Amy Dougherty, director of the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia:
"We are so excited for the City of Philadelphia. The citizens have won in a big way. I look forward to the future, the near future, when our elected officials on the city and state level stop using the library as a political football."
