During the almost three month budget impasse, state funding wasn't coming in to Philadelphia, making it hard for some agencies to make ends meet.
Philadelphia Department of Human Services Commissioner Anne Marie Ambrose calls the announced budget deal "terrific news" as her department struggled to pay:
"Providers have really hung in there for a long period of time, because they care so much about this work and that's really a tribute to them and their commitment to the children and families in Philadelphia."
