A former marine, with a history of mental illness dating back to his teens and time in the service, has been ordered held for trial on charges he critically wounded another motorist during a road rage incident on the Schuylkill Expressway near Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia last October.
The victim's eight-year-old daughter was also in the car but was not injured.
A police detective has testified defendant Christian Squillaciotti (photo) confessed, telling police there had been an ongoing and escalating confrontation with gestures and other challenges.
