Philly's Celebration of Black Writing Kicks Off Wednesday

Philadelphia's 26th Annual Celebration of Black Writing begins on Wednesday.

The 26th Annual Celebration of Black Writing will feature events through May 29th, including a lifetime achievement award and a community tribute to poet and educator Nikki Giovanni.

There'll be workshops, panels, kids programming, a basketball tournament, a teachers' symposium and a number of other events. Bebita Mettelus is marketing associate for Art Sanctuary:
