Phila. School District Says 16 Principals Lack Credentials
The Philadelphia School District has found that 16 of its principals don't have the proper state certification.
Estelle Matthews, the school district's HR chief, says that when word came last week that South Philadelphia High School principal LaGreta Brown (right) had an inactive certification, the district was already planning to remind principals that they had to keep their credentials current:

"We were in the process of sending the letter out when LaGreta got exposed. And so therefore it opened up a can of worms, where we were doing it much quicker than we'd anticipated to do it."
