With the city expecting a windfall from the extended Phillies' season, the Philadelphia Sports Congress announced a new leadership team to help bring more sports-related tourism to the city.
Phillies' president David Montgomery (right in photo above) and Adm. Tom Lynch replace longtime chairman Bob Levy as chief cheerleaders for Philadelphia as a sports venue.
Lynch has been heavily involved in the Army-Navy game -- which generates an estimated $25 million locally:
"This is the place to be. And with that, of course, it certainly helps the economic impact. And with that, it makes life better for us all and maybe helps the mayor with some of his budget problems."
