NY Giants game at Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 1 changed to 1 p.m.
This is so weird. I was getting ready to tweet the Giants' game at the Eagles on Nov. 1 might wind up getting moved up from 4:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. because that's Game 4 of the World Series. So I just did one last check of the Giants' site to make sure I had the time right and saw that game slated for 1 p.m.Huh? I could've sworn it was 4:15 p.m. What's going on here?
Here's what's going on: In the minutes between the time I had checked the kickoff time a first and second time, it had changed per the reasons I was about to outline.
So now the Giants and Eagles will kick things off at 1 p.m. And if the Phils beat the Dodgers for a second straight year in the NLCS, they'll face the AL champ across Pattison Ave. at 8:30 p.m.
If that's the case, I'd strongly suggest any fans coming from outside the area to drive down early or take a train into the city and avoid the parking/driving situation altogether. Or maybe I can check with some of my family members down there to see if we can get you some parking/shuttle service. Though knowing some of my fam, I'm guessing it won't come cheap. Of course, you might wind up getting fed well ...
Anyway, back to the issue at hand: one other thing that could ramp that whole day up would be if it's Phils-Yanks in the Series. That would certainly bring even more people to the area than Phils-Angels and would create a lot more headaches, but what a day it would be for Philly and New York-area fans. (A nice, clean, competitive day without any incidents, I would hope.)
Wait, did I say day? I meant weekend, because the night before it's Sixers-Knicks ... at the Garden.
