Penn Museum is opening a new long-term exhibition that highlights the museum's world renowned expedition in the 1920s.
The exhibition has been on tour for several years and is now back home to open in a new exhibit, Iraq's Ancient Part - which examines the 1922 Penn/British Museum expedition to the ancient site of Ur in Southern Iraq by highlighting over 200 artifacts -- a lot of gold, lapiz lazuli, electrolyte, silver -- that came from a 4,500-year-old royal cemetery.
