There are signs of progress in the marathon budget stalemate in Harrisburg.
The state House today passed and sent to Governor Rendell a tax bill that had previously been approved by the Senate.
Over the last few days, the dispute over the budget shifted from the tax plan to the spending side but early this evening, the House majority leader said he hoped later tonight to pass language acceptable to the Senate on what’s known as the general appropriations bill, that’s the actual budget itself.
