City officials say Phillies' playoff baseball is good financial news for the City of Philadelphia.
Larry Needle is executive director of the Philadelphia Sports Congress, which is a division of the city's Convention and Visitors Bureau. He says that while it's still too early to have hard, specific numbers as far as revenue generated by the postseason games in Philadelphia, they have a pretty good idea that the news is very good:
"In terms of new dollars to the city, we think that just the Division Series alone is probably about a five to seven million dollar economic impact number. So that really just focuses on the folks who are coming into the city -- the 'new' dollars into the city."
