Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter says he’s not satisfied with the timetable laid out by Republicans in the state senate for consideration of legislation critical to the city’s effort to balance its budget.
On Monday, Senate Republicans indicated they will hold hearings on legislation that would allow Philadelphia to raise its sales tax and change its pension system, and vote on it as soon as the last week of August.
