Dozens of young people from around the Delaware Valley have been honored for their work in the community. They are receiving "Young Heroes" awards from the National Liberty Museum in Old City Philadelphia.
Seventeen-year-old Atasha Jordan of Newtown, Pa. (above) organized holiday parties for kids who have parents in prison. She will be going to Harvard in the fall and wants to be a doctor.
Jordan says it's her faith that motivates her:
"Helping people who don't have the same academic inclinations I may have, or who don't have the same family base I have."
