Nutter Asks Phila. Clergy to Urge Congregants to Answer 2010 Census
Leaders of the faith-based community of Philadelphia are being urged to use this weekend to get their congregations to participate in the 2010 US census.
Surrounded by clergy from around the city, mayor Michael Nutter made a plea that took on an almost religious flavor:
"This is no joke -- this is serious business. We're talking about 400 billion dollars. That's billion with a 'B.' I don't know how much that is, but I know it's big!"
