The Cincinnati Bengals, as well as the NFL community and its fans, are mourning after news that WR Chris Henry died Thursday.
RB Brian Westbrook (concussion) and Kevin Curtis (knee) are expected to return for the Eagles this season but probably not Sunday against San Francisco. Westbrook, out since Nov. 22 from his second concussion, will run with the scout team this week. Curtis, who has missed 11 straight games, will split reps between the scout and first team. Both need to get their conditioning back before they can play.
Reid is taking the conservative route until the team is confident Westbrook won’t be prone to another concussion. Curtis felt some heavy legs last weekend after practicing with the scout team all week and wasn’t ready to play against the Giants. The team eagerly awaits the returns of Westbrook and Curtis for depth purposes as much as production.
If rookie WR Jeremy Maclin (foot) and Curtis can’t play, the club would have just three active receivers. Rookie RB LeSean McCoy has rushed for just 36 yards on 16 carries over the past two games.
