Phila. School Officials Move to Improve Security at Racially Tense South Phila. HS

Philadelphia school district officials are hoping for an eventual resolution of the boycott by Asian students at South Philadelphia High School that grew out of violence and racial tensions earlier this week.
Dr. Arlene Ackermen (right), superintendent of schools, came to South Philadelphia High on Friday to speak with students:
"The unfortunate incidents that happened last week have been escalated and now sensationalized, I believe, to the point that I feel the young people here are feeling the pain and the sting of all of this."
