Pres. Obama, in Allentown, ''Modestly'' Cheered by Latest Jobless News

President Obama was upbeat about the newest unemployment figures during a town hall meeting Friday at Lehigh Carbon Community College, near Allentown, Pa., but he says the economy still has a long way to go.
Obama delivered what he called "modestly encouraging" news about the latest unemployment figures. He says he’s taken difficult steps to end the economic crisis and calls this a hopeful sign that will help turn the tide.
Obama said it was great to be back in the Lehigh Valley which helped put him in the White House. The visit was the first stop on what’s billed as a listening tour to gauge how Americans are doing and to talk about ways to produce jobs.
