Motorists who use the Vine Street Expressway can expect some nighttime delays on a three-mile stretch of the heavily-traveled highway during the next several weeks because of a construction project.
Road crews are expected to begin work in the coming weeks on replacing deteriorated sections of concrete along the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 676, known locally as the Vine Street Expressway, from 18th Street to Interstate 95.
Crews will limit traffic to one lane in each direction during the night-time and early morning hours so they can cut out concrete sections of the road and put pre-cast concrete slabs in place.
