Pennsylvania lawmakers are partnering with the host of America's Most Wanted in support of a bill they say would make it easier to catch criminals.
House bill 292 would make it legal to collect DNA evidence from someone who is arrested for a felony offense in Pennsylvania. America's Most Wanted host John Walsh (photo, left) says if every state allowed for the collection and use of DNA data from those charged with serious crimes, it would bring an end to many cases, sooner:
"All 50 states collect DNA and send it to the FBI data base for convicted felons. Twenty-one states, when they arrest that person, take their fingerprints, take their picture, they put their DNA in their state database and they send it to the FBI."
