Police Kill Suspect Who Shot Ex-Girlfriend in Ridley Township
by KYW's Al Novack and Jim Melwert
A woman who was mortally wounded in a Delaware County shooting late Monday night has died, hours after police shot and killed the man believed responsible.
The incidents stem from domestic problems between a young woman and her ex-boyfriend. The woman was shot in the 1500 block of Constitution Avenue in Ridley Township, around 11:30pm on Monday.
The young woman in her 20s was shot by her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend, against whom she had a restraining order.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was shot in the head and listed in critical condition as of 8am on Tuesday. She died a few hours later.
