The City of Philadelphia is reversing course, and now says it will provide free, realtime election returns online for the Pennsylvania primary later this month.
At the urging of Mayor Nutter, online election returns were provided free last November for the first time, through a vendor.
But the mayor says he was surprised the hear the city commissioners, who run elections, say this week that they couldn't do it for the May 19th primary because they didn't have the $30,000 to pay for a web hosting service.
