The struggle in Congress now over green or clean energy rests in part on concerns about another type of green, money.
Doomsday is alive and well in this battle. One side says we have to battle global warming or risk drought and famine. The other says some proposed cures will raise prices so high your family could barely afford water and food.
On the environmental side is Phil Radford, executive director of Greenpeace USA, who worries that a well-intentioned bill in Congress will be whittled into ineffectiveness by under-mandating the change to green energy:
