With mortgage foreclosures up dramatically in this floundering economy, troubled homeowners are looking for all the help they can get. Delaware County is hoping to follow the lead of Philadelphia by offering a program that could buy those in arrears a little extra time.
More than 400 homes went up for sheriff sale in Media on Friday, almost half of them after sheriff Joe McGinn ordered a two month delay to give people a chance to get professional help.
