A swine flu scare has shut down a Delaware County high school. Hundreds of Archbishop Carroll students stayed home sick Wednesday and school officials say they'll close the school for the rest of the week.
With over 350 of the school's student body out sick, archdiocese superintedent Mary Rochford says they made the decision to send home the students who did show up:
"When you have a third of your school building missing, that's a concern you have to take into account."
A cheerleader at the school has tested positive for the H1N1 virus, otherwise known as swine flu. Many others have flu-like symptoms. The concern is the virus may have spread at a homecoming dance last weekend:
