A new date has now been set for what promised to be an explosive City Council hearing over Mayor Nutter's budget for the city library system. It was supposed to be earlier this week but was delayed at the request of the mayor.
City Council had been scheduled to review the Free Library situation this past Tuesday, and that hearing was widely expected to be volatile, given Nutter's failed plan last year to close 11 libraries.
