The "Sandy Sprint" 5K run and walk for ovarian cancer kicks off this Saturday in Fairmount Park. And one young survivor is preparing to run the race for the third time.
Samantha Lockwood (above), 34, of South Philadelphia has survived ovarian cancer -- twice.
For the past two years she won the survivor category of the Sandy Rollman Race for Ovarian Cancer. She doesn't expect to win this Saturday, but she's determined to run because she's got a message:
