The Philadelphia Department of Health has asked that a woman who fell ill on a plane from Mexico Monday be kept in the hospital for precautionary reasons -- even though they doubt she has the flu.
The woman was taken to Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia after her flight arrived at International Airport around 4pm.
She was going to be discharged after "quick-test" results showed she didn't have the flu at all.
That test is 90 percent effective. But since the woman was coming from Mexico, and planning to board another plane to another country, Health Department officials want to be completely sure before she's released.
