Schools in the Upper Merion Area School District celebrated Earth Day on Wednesday with no lights, no computers, and no electronic "smart boards."
It all began earlier this year, when nine-year-old Kamila Levine of the Roberts Elementary School in Wayne, Pa. entered the "Bright Idea" contest. She proposed that the school shut off its electricity for one day.
