Pa. State Rep. Perzel, Former Rep. Feese Released on Bail After Arraignments

Former Pennsylvania House speaker and current state House member John Perzel (R-Phila.) was released on Friday morning, after his arraignment before a district judge in Harrisburg.

Perzel is one of ten people connected to the Pennsylvania House Republican caucus charged in a long-running corruption probe.

Perzel was released on $100,000 bail after a preliminary arraignment on charges that he masterminded a scheme to use millions of dollars of taxpayer-funded technology for campaign purposes.

He commented briefly to reporters on his way into the arraignment:

“This thing’s been going on for quite some time. There’s hundreds of allegations that have been made. I’m looking for an opportunity to be able to prove my innocence in court.”
