The violent scene happened in the 1400 block of Holbrook Street Northeast around 11 a.m., and a witness said the suspect could have been on drugs at the time.
Police said three people were stabbed, and two of the victims sustained serious injuries. A 30-year-old female was stabbed in the chest and a 60-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck, police said. Both were transported by Medstar.
The third victim was taken to Howard Hospital, but no further details were immediately available.
