Mayor Nutter Plans to Give Love Park a Face Lift
Mayor Nutter is making it clear that he does not love the renovations to Love Park done during the Street Administration, and he plans his own complete makeover.

Mayor Nutter was talking with reporters about his plans to fill the City Hall courtyard with entertainment when he was asked about neighboring Love Park:

"Love Park ultimately needs a complete makeover. It could be our own version of Bryant Park in New York, which is one of my favorite parks outside any of the parks here in Philadelphia."

We reminded the Mayor that Love Park was made over in 2002 by Mayor Street after skateboarders were evicted. Nutter's opinion of that change was clear:

"I think Love Park needs a complete makeover and I'm looking forward to seeing additional plans for it."

No specific plans for that yet.
