Comedian Brad Track man says familiarity breeds humor:
"Oh yeah, everybody can relate to that! That's what it is! It's everybody relating to something that's going on in your original life!"
But he says there's a lot more than relatablity to being a successful stand up comic. That's why he'll be teaching month-long seminars at the newly formed Philadelphia Comedy Academy:
"I mean, you could just talk about funny premises all day but unless it has a punchline, no one's gonna laugh. The construction of a joke is the set-up and punch. So, you could have the most incredible premise where people are like oh I know exactly what he's talking about, but unless you have that punchline, it's just gonna lay there."
