Phila. NAACP Sues US Airways, Alleging Discrimination at PHL

The Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP is targeting US Airways in a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination and harassment in the workplace at Philadelphia International Airport.
Jerome Mondesire (above), NAACP Philadelphia branch president, says the suit is brought on behalf of three former US Airways employees but seeks class action status for all the airline's African-American employees.
Mondesire says the suit alleges that US Airways routinely assigns African-American employees to difficult assignments in terminals that even had special designations:
