Former Penna. Senator Hardy Williams is Dead at 78

Former State Senator Hardy Williams has died of complications related to Alzheimer's disease. He was 78.
"He truly was a giant."
So says State representative Kenyatta Johnson, one of many politicians and community activists who owe their political careers to Hardy Williams. But Johnson says Williams cast a broader shadow as a humanitarian.
"There's a difference between working for someone, and someone taking you under their wing. And what Hardy did was take me under his wing, and mentored me, and showed me how to advocate for those who are less fortunate, as well as all people."
