Area Schoolkids Preparing for 15th Annual MLK ''Day of Service"

Hundreds were on hand Wednesday at Girard College as plans for the 15th annual "Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service" were announced.

There was music, dance, speeches, and the unveiling of a mural painted by children at six different schools in the region.

One panel was created by sixth graders from the A. Russell Knight Elementary School in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Ten-year-old Teahila Encarnacion (right) was proud that her work will hang inside Girard College:
