Heartbreak on Home Ice
The Flyers quest for the Stanley Cup ended in heartbreak on Wednesday night as they lost to the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in overtime.
Scott Hartnell scored the equalizer with about three minutes remaining in regulation, but the jubilation was short lived as Patrick Kane netted the game winner just four minutes into the extra period. But Kane was apparently the only one who saw it go in as officials used instant replay to make sure.
"He threw his gloves instantly as soon as he shot the puck. He knew he scored."
