A groundbreaking ceremony was held today in Chester Township (Delaware County), Pa. to celebrate the construction of a movie and TV studio facility that developers and industry experts say will rival anything that Hollywood has to offer.
Construction is already underway on the 33-acre Sun Center Studios. The project includes a 60,00-square-foot building that will house an enormous soundstage and a mill where sets will be constructed.
Developer Jeffrey Rotwitt (right) says two additional soundstages will go up along with a tourist facility:
"It'll have indoor backlot streets where the crews can film on it, but it will be from nine to five a tourist facility, so you'll be able to come to see things that otherwise you'll have to travel to LA to see."
