Cleopatra Exhibit World Premiere: Part 5

Since 1996, underwater explorer Franck Goddio (photo) has been searching  the waters off of Alexandria, painstakingly combing through 3 feet of  sediment, to get to the remains of a small island where  Cleopatra had a small palace and a temple to Isis. Just recently, Goddio  found…
“…a bronze statuette more than 30 centimeters high that we have not yet identified, of course.”
Goddio says visitors to the Cleopatra exhibit will see artifacts that the Queen herself may have touched but most definitely saw.
“A sphinx which has a likeness of her father. Most probably she was passing by several times a month in front of that sphinx and seeing it.”
