The Philadelphia District Attorney's office has dropped a drug case because of an ongoing investigation of alleged police corruption involving at least one officer in the case. A joint local-federal task force is investigating allegations of misconduct by police department narcotics officers, including that they planted evidence.
Defense attorney Perry DeMarco Senior says his client was charged with robbery, drug and gun offenses, but the DA sought a delay pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation of alleged wrongdoing by Philadelphia police.
