Do you have talent that needs to be discovered?
The Free Library of Philadelphia is putting on a Teen Talent show on January 25th 2008 at The Central Library’s Montgomery Auditorium at 3:30pm. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. There will be cash prizes to the winners in each category. The categories include: Vocals, Spoken Word, Dance and Rap. The rules are that you must be a Philadelphia high school student and you must keep your lyrics clean. “It is my pleasure to give teens, a group that is often misunderstood, a place to come and just be themselves. I only wish I had more time to give and could reach more of our city's positive young people who are at-risk” says The Central Library’s teen coordinator Aurora Sanchez. Celebrity judges will be on hand including former popular 100.3 The Beat radio personality (The Cool Out & Sunday Morning Slow Jams) turned multi award wining Hip Hop Filmmaker Tim Greene of Hip Hop For A Better World Motion Pictures. Tim will be flying in from Hollywood just for the event and will give the top winners a screen test for a chance to be in his 5th feature film “LiL Homeez 2” which will be shot this summer.
