Nutter Says He Wants to Help the DA Expand Services, But...

Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter is noncommittal on the district attorney's request for more money to aid in witness protection.
"Every dollar for everything is tough at the moment."
That's Mayor Nutter's reaction to DA Seth Williams asking City Council to go over and above what the mayor has allocated in funding for the DA's office.
Among other things, Williams wants an extra $800,000 to expand witness relocation efforts, and to hire more prosecutors to handle cases of witness intimidation.
