Nutter Responds to Obama's Statement about Pa. Citizens
Senator Barak Obama's remarks to campaign donors in California that embittered small-town Pennsylvanians turn to "guns and religion" continue to generate controversy.

Defending his candidate former senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle got this meaning from candidate Obama’s statement that bitter small town Pennsylvanians were turning to “guns and religion”.

(Daschle:) “What he's saying is that there are those who use these issues as very, very divisive issues.”

Meanwhile, Clinton- backer, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, says he can't figure out what Obama was trying to say.

(Nutter:) “I don't know where this is coming from. I don't know what would possess senator Obama to say this.”
