Students prowled the Drexel Dragons' gymnasium floor, dressed not for basketball but for job hunting.
Peter Franks, the Drexel associate vice-provost whose office put the job fair together, says there were 220 employers -- a record for a spring job fair. And he draws a straight line from the co-op year out in the business world that Drexel students get, to employers:
"Even though many of them are paring back, they're coming to Drexel because they recognize our students are very well prepared and have had some very real professional work experience by the time they graduate."
But it's a jungle out there, and senior marketing major Paul Slifer still hasn't grabbed onto a vine:
"I'm surprised to see how many employers are out there, but it is tough in the job market today with the economy how it is."
More casually dressed were juniors looking for summer internships.
