Phila. Youth Network Finds Thousands of Teens Work

Despite the economy, the Philadelphia Youth Network actually has more jobs for teenagers, this summer. Federal stimulus money has created thousands of new jobs.
Nearly 9,000 will be put to work in the city, this summer. According to Melissa Orner of the Philadelphia Youth Network, that's more than either of the last two years:
“We've always had about 3,000 kids on the waiting list each year and we probably will have kids on the waiting list again, but we expect to serve more kids this summer than we have in the past couple because of the stimulus act money.”
