PHILADELPHIA - Every now and then when we hear the term "city of brotherly love it really rings true. Kofi Asante' Executive Director of the Philadelphia Comprehensive Center for Fathers, has put together a program, with the help of a dedicated staff. PCCF has assisted men transforming back into the workforce who are ex-offenders, homeless men, and non-custodial fathers.
These men face obstacles such as anxiety before a job interview, or not having the proper attire to be gainfully employed. All these situations have the potential to stifle any progress made after rehabilitation. That's why Kofi's program is a Godsend to Philadelphia. It's so easy to over look these men, but Kofi' realized that either we deal with these men now or we might have to deal with them later under not so pleasant conditions. So why not train them and help them to be law abiding tax paying citizens.
Work-N-Style for men is a part of this program. It provides upscale clothing new and used for those men who have showed themselves ready to take that next step back into society. Work-N-Style for men has clothed over 750 men in Philadelphia, and has raised over
$30, 000 to keep moving forward. However, more is needed. What can you do to show your "brotherly love".
Check your closets for any attire that you don't wear anymore such as suits, shirts, ties, and accessories. These articles of clothing are indeed needed to help our brothers out in this time of rebirth. PCCF also excepts donations to help in this endeavor.
