In the wake of last weekend's rampage of vandalism and assaults by teenagers along South Street and nearby neighborhoods (see related story), police have held a meeting with residents and business owners to assure them they have a plan to deal with any future trouble.
At the Palumbo Community Center at 10th and Fitzwater on Thursday morning (right), police conceded they were caught off guard by the thousands of young teens who made their way to South Street last Saturday night, apparently coordinated via Internet social networking sites and text messages.
