The Lower Merion commissioners are expected to decide on Wednesday whether to allow the new owner of a Main Line mansion to raze the building or to delay demolition as preservationists try to save the property.
In March, a mystery owner paid $6 million for the estate called "La Ronda" in Bryn Mawr, but the purchase was made through a front company so local officials don't really know who owns the 80-year-old mansion.
The mansion was the last commission of architect Addison Mizner, best known for his work in Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Fla.
