40 New Low-Income Homes Dedicated in North Phila.

Lisa Nutter, wife of the mayor, and other members of the Women's Community Revitalization Project dedicated 40 "affordable housing" homes on Wednesday in the heart of North Philadelphia.

The homes on North Hutchinson Street near Clearfield, in a neighborhood now being called "Fairfield," are geared towards struggling families. Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez (third from left in photo) says the goal is to help the 25 percent of the city's population who live in poverty:
